1983 Audi quattro UR Turbo in Mars Red, rare series 1, ( colour code LA3A ). Original (but with sensible suspension and braking upgrades). numbers matching with a genuine 61,000 on the clock, in mint condition. The car has only covered 30,000 since 1985. All service history from new (see photos) with over 28 stamps in service book, huge file of receipts and previous MOT's, including, QUATTRO WORKSHOP stainless steel big bore exhaust, new H&R springs and Koni dampers and water pump from DIALYNX (bringing ride height down to that of later RR quattros), brake discs and pads and Goodridge steel brake hose kit and also receipts from other respected quattro specialists, including QUATTRO CORNER and AMCARS.

Some quattro fans will remember this car as the "ASHES TO ASHES" competition car in The Daily Telegraph in 2008. She has been used in numerous photo shoots and articles for classic car magazines. Although not one of the Ashes to Ashes filming cars, she was seen at the filming location during series 1.

This car is interesting in that it is one of the very first quattro RHD's to come into the UK. Audi announced the RHD in Oct 82, this car was built in October of the same year and registered here on 1/1/83. This car was sold through one of the six specialist quattro dealers set up in the 80's. The dealer in question was J.B Car & Trucks Ltd in Cardiff and I have the original PDI sheet.

the original registration number was SAX 94Y then a private plate RL7 024, at the time, owner Mr R Lennox, wanted to keep that reg number at point of resale, so in 97 she went on to FLD 779Y. Being such an early model, it is a non-sunroof, analogue dash car, non sunroofs are rare. She has the original (Ronal) wheels correct for year of course, and interior is mint and unmolested.

The interior is mint, the body is excellent with a couple of stone chips on the lower front spoiler. Original BLAUPUNKT Toronto SQR32 radio/cassette player, with original paperwork and owners manual. The cassette player is in good working order. The original wheels and tyres are immaculate. There was a tiny rust spot about the size off a 5p piece at the bottom of the screen on the N/S, (quattros are notorious for this).

Only 2,710 RHD quattros came into the UK. A hand built German legend-Audi only made a little over 11,452 in an eleven year period. I think this is one of the earliest and best colour.
