Phonetics
Phonetics is the science of speech.
Often, the spelling in written English does not reflect the sounds we use in spoken English.
For that reason, PHONETICS or the science of speech, is very helpful in understanding the individual sounds that form the words that we use when we speak.
By making ourselves aware of this process, we then can improve the clarity of our articulation and the use of our voice.
In this way, we are empowered in our speaking when we are interacting with other people and our verbal communication is sincere, vibrant and effective.
